Lambreaux's Big Shot via urban comfort
1 1/2 ounces Bulleit Bourbon
2 strawberries
1 basil leaf
1/2 ounce Sugar in the Raw Syrup
1/4 ounce lemon juice
1/8 teaspoon basalmic vinegar
In a cocktail shaker, muddle the strawberries, basil, sugar syrup, lemon juice, and balsamic vinegar. Add the bourbon and ice cubes. Shake, strain into an ice-filled rocks glass. Garnish with a strawberry (cut large strawberries in half) and a basil sprig.
Sugar in the Raw Syrup:
Place equal parts Sugar in the Raw and water in a small saucepan; bringjust to a boil. Stir, to dissolve sugar. Remove from heat and cool before using.
Store in the refrigerator for up to a month.
